July Health & Beauty Tips
Lots of gardening to do this summer? Save your nails! Run your fingernails across a bar of soap before working in the yard, even if you’re using gloves. The dirt and debris will get stuck in the soap instead of underyour nails and wash out much easier. Thanks Jami for this fun summer nail saver!!
Fun summer makeup trends from Alicia!!! For the smokey eye look in the summer use a blue, violet or taupe instead of black. Take it a step further and go for the greek goddess look by using golden or copper shadows. For your night time makeup application use cream eyeshadows or blushes to avoid a cakey look
To avoid extra summer time tress damage work with the natural wave of your hair. Bag the blow dryer and go with funky beach waves. Pump up the curl volume with the Eufora Curl Enhancer. Summer time causing dry scalp? Add 2 aspirin to your dandruff shampoo to help clear it right up! From the fabulous hair artists Crystal and Samantha

BLUEBERRIES ARE NATURE'S MOISTURIZER
Blueberries are high in Vitamin E, it reinforces your skin's natural barrier, helping keep it hydrated and dewy.
A cup of blueberries has tons of antioxidants, so add some to your morning yogurt, sprinkle over grilled chicken salad, or marinate your favorite fish with berries and italian dressing. ( Try with salmon which is the best fish for your skin as well)
BLUEBERRY MASK
Once a week blend together 2/3 cup of blueberries, juice of 1 lemon, handful of almonds, 1 tablespoon of fat plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon of honey. Blend until turns into a medium-thick paste, then refrigerate for 20 minutes. Once chilled apply to face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse. Note: Do a patch test on your arm to make sure your not allergic to any of the above ingredients.
"CALM DOWN TO SLIM DOWN"
We already know that stress is associated with serious health conditions, and a network of doctors called BodyLogicMD has identified yet another negative consequence: It may be giving you a belly. The Culprit? Your overworked adrenals. These small glads release cortisol into the system as a reaction to stress. Cortisol stimulates the release of glucose for a boost of energy to help us through the crisis, but if the blood sugar is not used by the muscles, it triggers the release of insulin to encourage the cells to absorb the excess. Whatever is not absorbed converts to fat. The treatment recommended by BodyLogicMD includes, rest, gentle exercise, and soothing rituals---darn good excuse for a day at the spa. Massage may just be the medicine the doc order.

HEALTH AND BEAUTY TIPS:
Most of Us start our New Year with Healthy Resolutions! Crystal and Samantha have a few
healthy tips for dry, brittle, or even thinning hair; include nuts, eggs, peanut butter, and oats in
your diet to strengthen your hair (and nails). Also, next time you wash your hair, try using a
wide tooth comb after you wash (rather than a brush) to avoid breakage.
Want to get the most out of your UV-Free Spray Tan? First, exfoliate skin just before tanning,
leaving skin product free. Try to leave the tanning spray on for at least 6 to 7 hours before you
shower or prespire. Shave your legs as little as possible, and don’t exfoliate. Moisturize after
each shower and use an at home self tanning product to maintain color as long as possible.
Nail and Cuticles Dry? Keep your CND Solar Oil or Solar Balm in your car for a quick fix at a
stop light; or put it with your tooth brush so you will remember to use it twice daily.
Thanks
Jamie and Emiko!
